Letters of Recommendation

To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Brother Mark Smith for four years; we met while I was preaching at a youth camp in North Carolina. I have always found him to be very disciplined in his personal life, with a balance of mercy and truth in his ministry.

Also, since we met, I have had the opportunity to preach during Brother Mark and Mrs. Kacie's wedding ceremony. While being around them I have noticed a close relationship between the two and their relationship with the Lord as individuals. They both have a deep desire to serve in the Lord in Germany and believe it is the Lord's will.

I believe Brother Mark has a great burden for souls. I have personally seen him bring visitors to church, walk the aisle and weep with them on the altar. I have had Brother Mark present his work, as well as preach, leading the singing, and teach the Bible in our church here at Saxton. Therefore I feel confident in recommending him to be your missionary to Germany. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

To Whom It May Concern:

I was Mark Smith's Youth Pastor for several years. I have personally known Mark for approximately 6 years. I have seen Mark surrender his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and in turn I have seen a transformation in him as the Lord prepared Mark for the work He has for him to do. In the capacity of Youth Pastor, I have always known Mark to be respectful, and in submission to the authority over him. Mark has a willing spirit, and shows personal convictions that will serve him well on the mission field.

Mark has a heart for the Lord, as well as a heart to see people saved and grow in their spiritual walk. Mark is young, but his strength and character is rock solid. I have seen Mark as he faced difficulties and tribulations in his life, and he always sought the Lord and His counsel first, and then the counsel of godly men. Mark has accepted constructive criticism from me on several occasions. I have always known Mark to make sound and rational decisions far beyond the maturity and character level of most men his age. Mark witnesses for our Lord wherever he goes, and he lives a separated life unto the Lord.

It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Mark Smith to be your missionary to Germany. Mark and his wife, Kacie, have shown great patience as they have become skilled in the German language. I do not hesitate in my assurance to you that Mark meets the qualities of a Bishop given in 1 Timothy 3. I have no doubt of the calling God has put on Mark and Kacie's life. I believe the Lord will use this family to bring glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ. Please call or write me if you have any questions.
